Palestine and the Colonial Question: What Can Malaysians Learn?

Palestine is not only a humanitarian crisis or a question of war. It is also deeply connected to colonialism, displacement, control over land, demographic change and the denial of self-determination.

From the forced displacement of Palestinian communities to the expansion of settlements and the continued struggle over land, identity and sovereignty, the Palestinian experience raises important questions about how colonial structures continue to shape people’s lives today.

Join us for a public dialogue exploring these issues through a colonial and anti-colonial lens, and reflecting on what Malaysians can learn from our own history of colonial rule and the struggle for independence.
